VALENTINA PASSALACQUA MARE E FORESTA 2020

Valentina Passalacqua is a trailblazing young natural winemaker in Puglia, a region not exactly known for biodynamic, no sulfur wines.  She took over her family’s land (used only for cattle grazing since 1900), located inside Gargano National Park, to create a winery dedicated to indigenous grape varietals and producing easy drinking, beautiful wines.

Mare e Foresta is a clean, crisp, and top draw skin-macerated Pinot Grigio, technically an orange wine, that comes in a big as 1 litre bottle of liquid sunshine. Tastes like grapefruit/passion fruit green tea topped off with a seawater float and a finish as clean as they come. No added So2, biodynamic certification, an adorable label designed by Valentina’s young daughters, and just 10% ABV.
