LUIGI VALORI ROSATO CERASUOLO D'ABRUZZO DOC 2020

Luigi Valori is a winemaker with a storied life. He has been producing wine on his estate of 40hA in Abruzzo since 1996 with unrivaled verve and enthusiasm. This ex-professional footballer, theologian & tropical botanist makes wines as complex as himself whether it be from crisp mineral Pecorino or full bodied Montepulciano based reds. The estate has produced organically certified wines since the 2013 vintage.

Cerasuolo is a specific type of Rosé made in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Made from 100% Montepulciano grapes Luigi Valori’s Cerasuolo shows lovely red cherry fruit, spicy fennel and creamy notes. What marks the wine out is its generous mouth-feel which makes it a great match with more punchy Asian flavours and dishes. Of course it’s also delicious on its own as an apertif or on a sunny evening in the garden.
